The mile-wide tornado that has ravaged large swaths of land in the Oklahoma City area continues the cause massive devastation across the region. CNN’s Jake Tapper reported on the first footage to come in showing homes, schools and other building completely wiped out.
Commentators from KFOR compared the damage to that of the May 3, 1999 tornado outbreak that killed 36 people. There has been no official death toll announced in today’s event.
