The Miami Heat overcame Boston’s Jeff Green’s 43 point effort and a 17 point deficit to run their winning streak to 23 straight games with a 105-103 victory over the Celtics in Boston on Monday. The win streak is the second-longest in NBA history, surpassing the 2007-08 Houston Rockets. LeBron led the Heat with 37 pts and 12 rebounds while Dwayne Wade added 16 and Chris Bosh had 13. Behind green’s 43, Paul Pierce added 17 for the celtics who played without Kevin Garnett who was out due to a strained thigh muscle. The Los Angeles Lakers own the longest winning streak in league history with a 33-game run in the 1971-72 season. Next up for the Heat,LeBron James’ old team the Cleveland Cavaliers who lost to the Indiana Pacers 111-90 on Monday night.
