Beyonce might like Pepsi, but it seems that the soft drink company likes her even more. According to the Yahoo! Distribution Network, the star has inked an endorsement deal worth a reported $50 million. Under the terms of the deal, Bey will take part in commercials and promotional appearances, while Pepsi will invest in several of her personal projects. This is one of the biggest celebrity endorsement deals in recent history, and it’s no surprise that Pepsi is involved. Coca-Cola’s chief rival has been known for its relationship with celebrity spokespeople over the years, particularly those in the music industry. Here are a few other singers that have endorsed Pepsi products.

Michael Jackson

The King of Pop was arguably the biggest star that Pepsi ever had on its side. At the height of his fame in 1984, Michael signed a massive deal with Pepsi that included numerous commercials, as well as concert tours sponsored by the company. The relationship lasted for years, even surviving a scary incident in which the company paid the star $1.5 million after his hair caught on fire during a commercial shoot. In 2012, Pepsi renewed its relationship with the deceased Jackson by launching a new marketing campaign.

Ray Charles

The legendary musician was the face of Diet Pepsi in the early 1990s, where he was known to utter the phrase “You’ve got the right one, baby.” That slogan remains one of the most famous that the company has ever had. The commercials featured the blind legend playing his famous piano, often surrounded by plenty of beautiful women. In 2011, Pepsi used Ray’s likeness in a commercial featuring other music icons that endorsed the company, including Michael and Britney Spears.
