Wow, what a game today with the Colts as they battled against the Titans.  Go Colts!! Whew, now that we’re all reeved up lets take that energy and get into the holiday spirit with some family activities.  Yes it’s a little wet outside due to the rain, but lot’s of things to do to keep a smile on any childs (or child at heart) face.

  • The Gingerbread Village is open for business at Conner Prairie Interactive HistoryPark.  It’s going on now until Jan 6: Thu-Sun 10AM to 5pm and is free with paid general admission (members are free).  Check out their website for more information at www.connerprairie.org/Plan-Your-Visit/Special-Events/Holiday-Fun-at-Conner-Prairie.aspx
  • It’s Country Christmas at Stonycreek Farm in Hamilton County where you can choose your own tree, wreath, garland etc.  Free hayrides to the field and hand saws are provided.  See web site for more info www.stonycreekfarm.net
  • The Jolly Days Winter Wonderland is back at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.  It’s the museum’s annual holiday celebration with the Yule Slide, Jingles the Jolly Bear and visits with Santa.  Closed on Christmas; check out the website for times at http://www.childrensmuseum.org/jollydays
  • While you’re at the Children’s Museum see the Magic Snowman for a special holiday presentation in the Lily Theatre.  See the website above for more information
  • The Indiana State Museum presents Celebration Crossing with a ride along the Santa Claus Express where the kids can get their photo taken and participate in holiday and winter themed activities.  Open until Dec. 31st, see the website for times at http://www.indianamuseum.org/visit/events/index.asp?eventtypeid=4
