Disco Queen Donna Summer Dies 

Donna Summer died after a long battle with lung cancer this morning at the age of 63. It is believe that she developed cancer after inhaling toxic particles after the 2001 9/11 attack in New York City. She died in Florida and was trying to keep her illness under wraps as she was finishing up new material for a forth coming album.

Born Ladonna Adrian Gaines in Boston, Massachusetts; Donna started her career as a background singer for Three Dog Night in 1974. She rose to stardom with the track  Love to Love you Baby in 1975.

Summer’s career soared with hits like “Radio,” “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff,” “She Works Hard for the Money” and “This Time I Know It’s for Real.”

Summer was the first artist to score three consecutive number-one double albums.

Summer’s music career has landed her as the eighth most successful female recording artist in history according to Billboard.

Summer was most recently seen performing with Seal in David Foster’s 2010 PBS specialFoster & Friends and on America’s Got Talent, performing with former contestant Prince Poppycock.

Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano back in 1980. They had two daughters together.

Verizon Wireless To Throw Out Unlimited Data Plan

Verizon Wireless plans to begin eliminating the unlimited data plan it has provided customers who had it before the carrier introduced tiered pricing and dropped the unlimited plan for new buyers last year.

The new data-share plan, pricing for which hasn’t been announced, will provide a limited bucket of data that can be shared among family members or devices.

I wonder what role Louboutin’s signature red will play in the branding of this new project.  I’m sure he’ll find the perfect placement for it though.  I can’t wait to try it!
