Spurred by the resignation of chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz after a weekend Wikileaks email dump revealed a bias against Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, his supporters and advocates of civil disobedience infiltrated the streets of Philadelphia in droves, chanting, "We are the 99 percent" and "Feel the Bern!"

While many thought Clinton would announce her decision at an evening rally earlier in the day, she opted to send a message to her supporters using the digital sphere.
