New Albany Woman Arrested for Child Sex Trafficking
NEW ALBANY, Ind.–A woman from New Albany is under arrest, charged with trying to offer a child up for sex trafficking on a messaging app, said Indiana State Police.
The got a tip in February from the National Centers for Missing and Exploited Children that several video messages on the MeetMe app, which is for meeting “like-minded” people, through videos, were about the possible sexual abuse of a child.
Two days later state police had a warrant for Kristina McAdams’ cell phone. They also removed the child from her home.
In addition to offering the child to people online, McAdams, 37, is believed to have possibly abused the child herself.
After all of the facts were presented to the Floyd County prosecutor’s office, an arrest was made last week.
McAdams is charged with child sex trafficking, promotion of child sex trafficking and promoting prostitution.
