Senator Cory Booker says he supports Medicare for All, but wants to be realistic about it. The New Jersey Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate told CNN’s State of the Union that he is interested in looking for more immediate reforms to the health care system. He plans to find a solution that everybody can be happy with. He said “we’re not going to pull health insurance from 150 million Americans that have private insurance who like their insurance.” Booker explained it’ll be tough to get any health care plan passed through Congress, but he believes his vice president, “whoever she is,” will be breaking lots of ties.
