As expected, the 76ers chose Washington point guard Markelle Fultz

followed by going to the Lakers at No. 2. The Pac-12 pair began a
record-setting run of seven straight freshmen selected. Duke’s
Jayson Tatum went to the Celtics at No. 3, the Suns took Kansas
shooting guard Josh Jackson fourth and the Kings rounded out the
top 5 by picking speedy Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox. A total
of 16 freshmen were selected in the first round.
The Pacers 18th pick was TJ Leaf out of UCLA. IU’s OG Anunoby went 23rd to Toronto and Purdue’s Caleb Swanigan went 26th to Portland.
