Someone is NOT invited back to the Oscars… ever!

They had ONE job that night! Apparently the two accountants who were responsible for the huge Oscars announcement mistake are banned from the Oscars. Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz will not be asked back for future ceremonies.  Also, the Academy’s relationship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accounting firm responsible for the results of the show, is still under review. Some sources say that Brian had just tweeted a backstage photo of Emma Stone and was seen with two envelopes in his hand and a cell phone. He allegedly handed Warren Beatty the wrong envelope, which was actually a duplicate of the last envelope announcing Emma Stone as Best Actress. This mix up had Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announce” LaLa Land” as the winner and not “Moonlight”, which actually won! What a HOT mess!

#OscarsNOTso White this year!

Just a year after #OscarsSoWhite , this year’s Oscars made history with the most black winners… ever! Viola Davis won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fences, and Mahershala Ali won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Moonlight. O.J.: Made in America producer Ezra Edelman became the night’s second black winner, sharing the Best Documentary Oscar with Caroline Waterlow. Moonlight director Barry Jenkins also won for the screenplay he co-wrote with Tarell Alvin McCraney, whose play, In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue, the movie is based upon.   Moonlight did win Best Picture, but none of the producers are black.

In a conversation with billionaire David Rubenstein on Bloomberg’s “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations.” Oprah said,

She later added, “No, that won’t be happening, but I mean, I did used to think, well gee, you had to know so much more than I thought you had to know.”

Then Rubenstein said, “It’s clear that you don’t need government experience to be elected president of the United States, right?”
