Aretha Franklin Says She Will Retire…’sorta’
A new album is on the way from Aretha Franklin, but she says this will be the end. The new album will be produced in part by Stevie Wonder. Franklin says she is retiring following the release of the album and a brief tour, but will still do special events. The tour will feature just one date per month starting in September, and last about six months. Franklin says the new album will be recorded in Detroit, and all songs will be originals.
