A new study has revealed some startling results to the question, “Do you think you have to be married to be happy?”

If you’re a woman, the answer may make you think again. Researchers at Ohio State University say moving in with a partner gives women just as many emotional health benefits as tying the knot. However, the finding is a bit different for men. In terms of their first serious union, a decline in emotional distress was only seen in men who got married rather than just lived with their significant other.
