Well it looks like this award show isn’t going away anytime soon…

MTV says this year’s Video Music Awards brought in nearly ten-million viewers.  The viewership made it the top ranked cable awards show of the year.  However, the awards show lost about a half million viewers from last year, continuing a downward trend from 2011’s high of over 12-million viewers.  With jaw-dropping moments from host Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West, the show also generated over 21 million tweets.

I still find it kinda odd that there’s a Video Awards show for a network that shows mostly reality shows…
