SuggsErnie I got the opportunity to get a reporter’s view of the aftermath of the killing of unarmed 18-year-old, Michael Brown, in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, MO. On this week’s edition of “Access Indy,” I spoke candidly with veteran newspaper reporter, Ernie Suggs, who traveled to Ferguson for The Atlanta Journal Constitution about his experience there and what he found.

Suggs has written a series of articles for the paper and its website AJC.com ranging from the civil unrest in the suburb, to the response, to local attitudes and has even critically dissected his own experience, because he’s never been in unrest and turmoil like what he found in a small American city dangerously on the brink of disaster.  Click the media player below to listen to our conversation.

“Access Indy” with your host Kim Wells, airs on Sundays at 8 a.m. Eastern on 106.7 WTLC. You can listen online at tlcnaptown.com or on your mobile device on BlackPlanet Radio.
