It may be three-months before we know what caused a series of underground explosions downtown Wednesday afternoon. Indianapolis Power and Light says the source of the problem was the failure of a network protector, but it’s not known what caused the piece of equipment to blow. A spokesman for the utility says a second-party group is being brought in to help with the investigation to make sure it’s thorough and complete.

Demonstrations in Ferguson were peaceful on Thursday, after Governor Jay Nixon put the Missouri Highway Patrol in charge of security.

Ford is recalling more than 83-thousand vehicles. Ford is notifying owners of its Edge, Flex and Taurus models, as well as Lincoln MKS and MKX owners. The recall affects vehicles from the 2012 through 2014 model years. The problem could cause the vehicles to slip out of gear while moving, raising the risk of a crash.

There’s a changing of the guard at NBC’s “Meet The Press.” Host David Gregory is leaving the show—and NBC altogether. NBC News chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd has reportedly been tapped to replace Gregory as moderator of the Sunday morning political talk show. Gregory confirmed his departure via Twitter Thursday writing, “I leave NBC as I came—humbled and grateful.” He also thanked viewers and wished his colleagues well. Gregory moderated “Meet The Press” for six years. It had been rumored for some time that changes were in store for the show. Todd will be the show’s 12th moderator since “Meet The Press” first aired in 1947.
