Do you ever get the feeling that people who are racist or who say super racist things…really don’t understand how racist and crazy they sound? Well we definitely got that feeling after reading the Twitter timeline of Anthony Cumia today.
According to CBS, Cumia claims he was viciously attacked in Times Square while taking pictures of “New York City life”….the problem seems to be that not everyone agreed with the pics that he was taking.
He posted this picture and then defended himself over it after people in his mentions called him a “perv”.
An African American woman who was apparently in one of Cumia’s pictures without her permission got upset and things turned physical. Cumia says others jumped in to defend her and from there it went downhill.
Now while in no way are we condoning violence of any kind, we also don’t think Anthony getting jumped is justification to say the things he said about an entire race of people! That is completely ridiculous!
The “black girl” in question can be seen in Cumia’s picture below.
And these aren’t even close to the worst tweets in his timeline! Apparently Sirius/XM saw the light early and took drastic actions as not to be affiliated with the racist rants on Cumia’s twitter.
Patrick Reilly, Senior VP of Communications at Sirius/XM said in a statement to TheWrap.
“The decision was made, and Cumia informed, late Thursday, July 3rd after careful consideration of his racially-charged and hate-filled remarks on social media. Those remarks and postings are abhorrent to SiriusXM, and his behavior is wholly inconsistent with what SiriusXM represents.”
To which Cumia responsed by saying,
“Sirius decided to cave and fire me. Welcome to bizarro world. Fired for shit that wasn’t even on the air & wasn’t illegal. So, who’s next? After the wkend, I’ll have a better idea of things. F*ck Sirius. I’ll pop on the Compound show next week and discuss this with TOTAL FREEDOM”.
Hmmm….he’s not angry or scary at all is he? Anyone who says the vile things that he said in his rants…has said them before…A LOT! And to be honest while he is busy warning others who are not black about the black community…we sort of feel we should be warning EVERYONE else about guys like him!
