Legislators Thwart Plans for New Soccer Stadium in Indy

Plans for a new soccer stadium in downtown Indianapolis are shelved for now. Financing efforts died in the legislature Thursday. Indy Eleven pro soccer team owner Ersal Ozdemir stormed out of the State House upon hearing the decision from Senate President Pro Tem David Long. Ozdemir said he will resubmit plans for the 87-million-dollar facility next year.
