A TV reporter investigating an alleged Florida property scam was stunned when the supposed landlord he was questioning jacked his car.

Josh Taylor, from WWSB ABC 7, couldn’t believe his eyes when Jean Price lost her cool, grabbed his equipment, hopped into the network’s branded vehicle and drove off to avoid answering questions.

ABC 7 reports that Taylor, a 12-year veteran in covering the area, was looking into the case of a 91-year-old Venice woman when he was carjacked. The senior claimed she’d rented out an 11-bedroom home on Siesta Key for a family reunion. But when she arrived she found that, due to code violations, the home only had five usable bedrooms. Wanting her money back, ABC 7 sent Taylor to speak to Price — believed to be responsible for the upkeep of the property — to try and get some answers.
