The countdown to the return of BET’s “Being Mary Jane” has officially begun. In just six weeks, eight new episodes of Mara Brock Akil’s hour-long drama will begin and we just can’t wait!
To feed our anticipation, BET dropped a new trailer for the original series, which shows Mary Jane Paul, played by Gabrielle Union, soaking in a bathtub and drowning in her thoughts.

If you were one of the four million viewers who watched movie premiere this summer then you know that the story follows successful cable news anchor Mary Jane as she supports her family and searches for Mr. Right. The star-studded cast also includes Omari Hardwick, Tika Sumpter, Richard Roundtree, Margaret Avery, Lisa Vidal and Richard Brooks.
