Tina Turner is engaged!
The 73-year-old musician has reportedly said “yes” to her partner of 27 years,German producer Erwin Bach, 57, two years after he had proposed. The two have been living together in Switzerland for the past 18 years, reports the Swiss paper Blick.
Turner and Bach are getting ready to say “I do” on their property on Lake Zurich and the guests are reportedly required to wear all white. “I am happier than I could have ever dreamed of,” the singer recently said.
In January, it was announced that Turner is on her way to becoming a Swiss citizen. She’s been approved by a local council, pending formal approval from state and federal authorities.
This will be Turner’s second marriage. From 1962 to 1978 she was married to Ike Turner, who had passed away in 2007. That same year, a script she wrote for an autobiographical musical titled “Simply the Best” portrayed Ike as a “gun-wielding, cocaine-sniffing, wife-beating monster whose signature line is: ‘That bitch will taste my wrath like it’s her own saliva!,'” per the New York Post.
A request for comment made to Turner’s rep was not immediately answered.
