Police Search for Missing 91-Year-Old

Police are searching for a missing 91-year-old man. Oliver Turner, was last seen on February 11th, and they think he might be with his live-in caretaker, 48 year old, Annette Polk.

Police think Polk may be taking advantage of Turner, who shows symptoms of dementia, and  uses an oxygen tank.

Turner is a black male about 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 135 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.

Polk is a black female about 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 130 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Police said Turner and Polk are likely driving a burgundy Ford Focus with Indiana license plate VAY284.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Turner or Polk is asked to call police immediately.

Officer, 3 Others Shot During Traffic Stop 

A metro police officer was shot last night during a traffic stop on the city’s northeast side.

The shooting happened in the 3600 block of Sherman Drive during a traffic stop.

The car had four people in it, and when the officer tried to pull one of the people from the car, one of the passengers opened fire.

Three other people were shot, one of them died, the officer was shot in the wrist.

Police Search for Suspected Rapist

Metro Police are searching for a man suspected in a rape North side rape.

A woman told police she was raped by a man in her apartment near 91st Street and College Avenue.

The woman described the man as being in his 20s or 30s with olive skin, short brown hair, brown eyes and a thick build, and that he spoke a foreign language.

Overnight Fire in Indianapolis

Fire Crews battled a two-alarm apartment fire on the city’s west side, early this morning.

Firefighters were dispatched at 4am to an apartment complex near 34th Street and Georgetown Road.

At one point all firefighters were ordered out of the building because of the intensity of the flames.

Traffic on Hillsboro Drive was blocked in both directions.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
