It seems kids are out of school more then ever before. When I went to school, it didn’t matter how cold it was going to be, you better bundle up and keep moving and don’t miss that bus. Now kids seem to be out of school for everything including the Fair?
I read on the Theindychannel.com that Indiana fair organizers want to push for excused absenses to student who miss class to participate in the agricultural events such as 4-H fairs.
The main conert is about changing school calendars that have shortened summer vacations however many of the schools here in Indiana resume during the states fairs run which is Aug2nd-18th.
What do you think? I know 4-H is an educational experience however should kids be able to have an excused absence if they are in 4-H for the state fair?
