It looks like some people feel a certain way about the VIP treatment LeBron’s mama, Gloria James, gets from law enforcement in the Miami area.
Yes she’s the mother of an NBA champion and superstar, but attorney Robert Stok says she should stop riding the coattails of her son and be treated like every one else.
(Stok represents Rock Feller Sorel, a Fontainebleau Miami beach valet who is currently in the middle of a lawsuit with Gloria for assaulting him last year during an argument about the speed of his service. Yikes!)
Stok wrote a letter to the Miami Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s office with a laundry list of times Gloria has gotten off with a slap on the wrist because of who her son is.
Here’s an excerpt from the letter exclusively obtained by Gossip Extra:
Since Ms. James’ arrest on April 7, 2011 she has abused her quasi-celebrity status and flouted the justice system.
As detailed in her arrest report, at the time she was arrested, she refused to cooperate with the arresting police officers.
Despite the fact that she was arrested for disorderly intoxication, an arrest typically requiting overnight incarceration, she was released from the booking station almost immediately to a Miami Heat executive.
She was offered her initial pre-trial diversion program without your office having consulted with our client first and ultimately the offer was made against his wishes.
In the civil case, she missed two court ordered mediations and was sanctioned by the trial court for her continuing misconduct.”
