What Are African Americans Watching? Top Daytime Shows Among Blacks

A couple weeks ago I told you the top TV shows that African Americans watch. The Hollywood Reporter has released a number of daytime shows that has African American’s attention.

Black America Web reports:

In a nutshell “Wendy Williams” and newcomer “Trisha” lead the pack, but “Maury” and “Jerry Springer” are right up there in the top five.

THR said that blacks make up 13 percent of the U.S. population but 18 percent of daytime viewers. While not a necessary demo for success (consider the tiny black audiences for “Ellen” and “Katie”), “Maury” and “Jerry Springer” lure about 50 percent of African Americans.
