Michael Vick is a leader not only on the field, but off the field as well.
He donated $200,000 for the repairs of an abandoned north Philadelphia recreational center. Renovations will include a new football field for youth, named Team Vick Field.
He told USA Today Sports:
“I wanted to show my appreciation for the city. The thing I’ll never forget is how I was applauded when I came into my first game here. If there was something I could do other than win a championship, I wanted to have something here that I’ll always be remembered by.”
Kudos to him!
