Upscale Conrad latest downtown Indianapolis hotel to close for now

INDIANAPOLIS — With downtown Indianapolis hotel occupancy rates at historic lows, staying open makes no sense for some of the bigger hotels.

The upscale Conrad Hotel is the latest to shut it doors, announcing Tuesday it is closed for the time being.

The Conrad joins such hotels as the JW Marriott in suspending operations.
