Motown will finally release an album by Marvin Gaye next month!

In 1972, Gaye was enjoying acclaim from his album of the year before, “What’s Going On,” and he recorded enough music over the course of that year in Detroit and Los Angeles to make another album.

Other music featured on the album includes a canceled 1972 Christmas single and an unreleased mix of its instrumental B-side, as well as several remixes by writer-producer SaLaAM ReMi of “Symphony,” “I’d Give My Life For You” and “My Last Chance.”

“You’re the Man” will be released on March 29, just days before what would have been Gaye’s 80th birthday on April 2.
