A new Quinnipiac University poll that came out Monday finds that American voters overwhelmingly fault President Trump for the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. Sixty-three-percent of voters surveyed say they are against President Trump keeping the government shut until he gets funding for a border wall along the US Mexico border. Just 32-percent support his strategy. The polls also finds that Americans who are against building the wall come from every political, gender, education, age and racial group, except for registered Republicans, who support keeping the government closed 67- to 24-percent. Fifty-six-percent of the voters polled blame Trump and the GOP for the shutdown, while 36-percent put the blame at the feet of the Democrats.
