The answer is more than half of all U.S. homes subscribe to at least one video streaming service, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu. That’s according to a new digital trends media survey from Deloitte, which found 55-percent of homes have a subscription. In fact, the percentage of consumers subscribing to a paid streaming service has surged 450-percent in less than a decade. Analysts say exclusive access to original content is a major factor for consumers looking to choose a subscription service. According to Deloitte, more than 200 streaming services are available on the market. Collectively, consumers spend about two-billion-dollars a month on these subscriptions.
