- 2/3 cups unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 2/3 cup whole milk
- 1 cup chopped fresh jalapenos, seeds and ribs removed
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
