It wasn’t pretty, but the U.S. men’s basketball team is still perfect in Rio. Klay Thompson dropped in 30 points as the Americans held on for a 100-97 victory over France. Team USA finishes 5-and-0 in the preliminary round and wins Group A with 10 points. They will play in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. The women also moved to 5-and-0 with a 105-62 rout of China. They will take on Japan in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. hopefully with the extra days rest they’ll play a little better than they have the last two games.
