Twitter has heard your angst and is responding by getting ready to give users more space for longer messages.  According to a report by Bloomberg News, the social media company will soon stop counting links and photos as part of its 140-character limit on messages. The change is designed to give users more flexibility. How soon? Bloomberg says users could see the change take effect in the next two weeks.

Another change Twitter is making is the addition of its first black person to its board of directors. That person is the chief executive officer of BET Networks, Debra L. Lee. Twitter’s appointment of Lee makes her also the social media giant’s third female board member. Lee herself has more than 67,000 followers. Twitter has been and remains, despite this move, under fire from critics because only two-percent of Twitter’s employees are black.
