Best known for her role as Nakeishsa on The Carmichael Show, comedian Tiffany Haddish talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about her standout role on the show, how she went from foster care to stand up and much more.

On believing in yourself:

“I  wanted Loretta Devine to be my mother and now she’s my mother-in-law and I always said I wanted David Alan Grier to be my father and now he’s my father-in-law and a really good friend. Believe in yourself and do one thing to work toward your goals everyday. If you can do five things a day, you’ll get there faster.”

Tiffany is performing at the Arlington Improv this weekend. You can purchase tickets here.

The Carmichael Show airs Sunday nights at 9:00PM on NBC.   Click the link above to hear the entire interview.
