Infamous talk show host Jerry Springer celebrates 25 years of the hit Jerry Springer Show, making him one of only nine hosts in TV history to reach this milestone. He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about how the show is formatted, why feel-good stories don’t get the green light and he weighs in on politics.
On his wildest show:
“I don’t think you can be grown up in today’s world and anything shocks you nowadays. We’ve lived through it off, all kinds of wild and horrible story.”
Is the show scripted?
“I’m not allowed to know what the show is about. They (the producers) hand me the card and the card just has the subjects names on it. As long as the stories are true and outrageous…we’re not allowed to do uplifting shows, we’ll send them to another show.”
