@kwellscomm tlcnaptown.com Political News Headlines

Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich are now working together to stop Donald Trump from winning the Republican presidential nomination. Both campaigns announced late Sunday that Cruz is going to concentrate on winning the primary here in Indiana, while Kasich focuses on Oregon and New Mexico. So Cruz is suspending his campaign in those two states and Kasich is suspending here. Trump calls it a sign of desperation that they have to team up to take him on. Cruz will be here in Indiana on the stump today. He’s scheduled to speak in Borden at Huber’s Plantation Hall Monday morning, then at the Johnson County Fairgrounds tonight. For the Democrats, Hillary Clinton will be in Indiana tomorrow, but details haven’t been released yet. When we get them for her Tuesday appearance, we’ll let you know. No word yet on when Senator Bernie will visit the Hoosier state.
