Teenagers or families looking for a summer opportunity for the young person in their lives, Indiana’s Seventh District Congressman, Andre’ Carson is hosting his Third Annual Youth Opportunities Fair tonight, Wednesday, April 6. This event is designed to connect teens (and younger children) with jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities and more, so that young people stay busy and gain valuable experience for their futures. Local service providers, organizations and businesses have joined forces with Carson’s office to offer plenty of opportunities to the youth of this district. “We have over 50 organizations who have signed up –Children’s Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, even the Christamore House as an example,” said Congressman Carson. “Young people who volunteer and who are engaged in community activities not only help others, they help themselves.” Carson is inviting teens and their families to come out to the fair, see what’s available and sign up.
