London Opens Jimi Hendrix’s Preserved Apartment

The London apartment where Jimi Hendrix lived more than 45 years ago is open to the public. The three-and-a-half million dollar restoration has put the apartment back just exactly the way the rock star had it when he lived there. It’s located on the upper floors of 23 Brook Street, right next door to where another famous musician, George Frederick Handel, lived and worked some two-and-a-half centuries earlier. The complex is now part of the “Handel & Hendrix in London” heritage site celebrating the two musicians.
