Back when O.J. Simpson verdict was announced in real life, Cuba Gooding Jr. and many other African Americans were happy that he got off.

“Back then, I was just so relieved that another black man got away from the injustice that was the LAPD,” the Oscar winner told The Hollywood Reporter.

While playing O.J., CUba explained during a interview that he had a sudden break down.

“There was one day after filming that I went to my trailer and I couldn’t stop crying because I realized I never [even considered the loss] for the Goldman or Brown family,” the actor shared.
