White House Correspondent April Ryan discusses the Paris attacks over the weekend  with Shawn Turner, former Director of National U.S. Intelligence for the Obama Administration about what our government is looking to do next and defends President Obama’s statement.

“The FBI has to look at the possibility of something like that happening here. In this country it’s not a crime to sympathize with groups like ISIS…if people are thinking of copy cat attacks, we want to send a message. Anytime something like this happens there are questions if there was an intelligence failure. They learned about the ways we monitor in surveillance. We think they used communication that was encrypted. There’s some possibility that they used non traditional communication, like gaming,” he said.
