They may be sailing along The Fantastic Voyage 2015, but some of the celebrities aboard are still in touch with what’s going on back home.
In his performance aboard the Carnival Breeze, along with the celebrities, TJMS crew and partygoers on board, LL Cool J took a minute to pay tribute to police shooting victim Walter Scott, shot in the back while fleeing during a traffic stop in South Carolina.
During a performance of his classic song “Illegal Search” which is about the perils of ‘driving while Black’ (referenced in the Kanye West song “Cold”) LL raps in the clip:
What the hell are you lookin for?
Can’t a young man make money anymore?
Can’t my car looks better than yours?
Or is it my job to make sure I’m poor?
After performing that verse, LL referenced Scott. Watch.
