106.7 WTLC wants to help a local high school build their ‘field of dreams.’  The Herron High School baseball team wants to be just like any other high school and enjoy the thrills of playing high school athletics.  However, they lack in the equipment necessary to meet their own dreams.

Herron is an inner city school located at 16th and Pennsylvania, right downtown.  As the downtown area surges in resident growth, more families are coming into the city.  Herron is growing fast and both long time and new families want options for kids to play baseball.  So, a parent partnered with the school to coach the first ever Herron High School baseball team last year.  As they gear up for their second season, playing against other in city schools, they are looking for some support.

Herron is land locked, so the kids travel to Kennedy King Park to practice.  They need equipment fast, and eventually would like to find a field to play in.

The Herron High School baseball team needs just about everything.  The team needs portable pitching mounds, pitching machines, helmets, etc.  We want to help out a local high school so they can have the experience many high schoolers aready have, playing high school sports!  Donate to their GoFundMe page Here ->>> http://www.gofundme.com/herronbaseball2015

Our goal is to raise $5,000 so they can build their ‘Field of Dreams.’
