The net continues to widen around the sexual allegations surrounding Bill Cosby. The Los Angeles Police Department is now looking into claims Cosby forced Judy Huth into performing a sex act on him while in the bedroom at the Playboy Mansion in 1974. Huth contends she and a friend of hers got an invite to the legendary home after they met Cosby at a tennis club. Huth asserts Cosby gave them alcohol every time he won a game of pool. The trio went to the Playboy Mansion, where she claims the assault took place.
Huth claims she was 15 years old at the time, and is currently suing the comic for sexual assault. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the police informed the press they will look into the allegations against Cosby; even though the statute of limitations has expired it can help with Huth’s civil suit. The investigation into Huth’s claims began, after Los Angeles police detectives met with her and attorney Gloria Allred for an hour and a half on Dec. 5. Prior to meeting with the special victims unit, Huth filed a lawsuit against Cosby. During the press conference, Huth remained quiet, while Allred discussed hope the authorities will look into the claims against Cosby.
During the press conference, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck implored possible victims to come forward, even if their charges are past the statute of limitations. Cosby has fought back against Huth, and has countersuit claiming she and her lawyers have tried to extort him. According to Cosby’s legal team, Huth and her lawyer, Marc Strecker tried to browbeat him for $100,000 and later upped the price to $250,000 into keeping their accusations from going public. In court documents, Cosby claims Huth had unsuccessfully tried to sell her story to the tabloids 10 years ago. Cosby is requesting for Hurth’s suit to be dismissed.
