The coverage of this year’s Soul Train Awards airs this weekend. The previously taped awards show boasts a number of memorable reunions, including that of the R&B group Jodeci. The foursome took the stage to perform some of their most notable hits, such as “Freek’n You,” “Forever My Lady” and “Stay” before inviting rapper B.o.B. to help them perform their new single, “Nobody Wins.” Rappers Lil Kim, Missy Elliot and Da Brat also reunited on stage for their single, “Not Tonight.” The performance was a tribute to Legend Award winner Kool and the Gang, whose “Ladies’ Night” is sampled on the track. Doug E. Fresh, MC Lyte, Tamar Braxton and Chris Brown also took the stage at the awards ceremony.
Hosted by Wendy Williams, the 2014 Soul Train Awards were taped at Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena on November 7th. BET and CENTRIC will air the show Sunday at 8:00 pm Eastern.
