MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry talks about the reason she does not like twitter anymore. Harris-Perry had a change of heart once she start receiving harassing comments on her twitter feed.
“I am at a point where I don’t retweet anything that I really like because I fear that I would send all of my haters, all of the harassment that comes to me, over to some person who doesn’t deserve it,” Melissa explained.
Harris-Perry has finally got a whiff of the twitter world and being a public figure on social media. The social media world is very different from the real world. People are more likely to express their true feelings on a keyboard no matter how hateful or harmful their comments really are.
