As Queen Latifah covers the November Issue of Essence Magazine she also discussed her future plans in her career which includes a possible show with BET’s Centric network and how she does she maintains her life as a CEO, TV Talk Show Host, and Actress.

In this upcoming Essence issue the queen talked with Essence about her new role as Bessie Smith was a a blues singer back in the 1920’s.

“She influenced rock and roll, with an effect on everybody from Mick Jagger to Janis Joplin. She was the first Black performer to appear before an integrated audience. She chased away Ku Klux Klansmen when they tried to to set fire to a tent where she was performing.”
