Larita Francois-Flotte founded The Take the Lead Foundation, an organization focused on providing motivation and educational programs to at-risk youth in the city of New Orleans.
She talked to the TJMS about the importance of education and her motivation to help others.
“I’m born and raised here but unfor I didn’t grow up in a great environment. As a teenager there really wasn’t a lot of resources. I just wanted something really different out of life. I founded Take The Lead to show young people they can change their environment,”
