Although some kids are just now getting out of school, others have been out for a few weeks.  Congratulations to all of the graduates of 2014…get up, get out and get started with life.  Before you do, check out some of the events going on in or around Indy this weekend.

  • Join your WTLC family today at IUPUI to help find a cure for Lupus. Registration starts at 9am and the walk at 10am.   • The Annual Neighborhood yard Sale is in McCord Park today until 3pm.  It’s located in the Watson Park Historic District and you can visit the 15+ tent for great deals, refreshments and more.  See www.watsonpark.org/  for more details.  McCord Park is located at 36th and Watson Rd.

  • It’s that time of year again.  Time for the 59th Annual Talbot Street Art Fair in Indianapolis.  View artwork from over 200 artists from across the nation.  Admission is free and is located a Herron Morton Place Neighborhood off of Talbot St. See the web site at www.talbotstreet.org/ for more details.
  • Check out the Strawberry Festival and BBQ at Lawrence United Methodist Church located off of Shadeland Ave.  Not only can you enjoy the shortcake and strawberry pie, but ice cream, live music and more.  It all ends tonight at 8pm so visit the web site for more information at www.lawrenceumc.com/.
  • If you haven’t had a chance to see the art of wine-making, check out Grape to Glass Winery Tour at Easley Winery off of College Ave.  It’s held each Sat/Sun starting at 12noon.  No reservations required,  See www.easleywinery.com/tours.html or give them a call at 317.636.4516. Plus after your tour stay for Groovin’ in the Garden from 2-5pm as part of the free music series which runs every Saturday until the end of September.

  • “So You Think You Got Talent” is a variety show at Pike Performing Arts Center with over 20 acts.  Ticket prices vary starting at $10, plus there will be a winner.  Be a part of the live audience, recording and fun.  See gottalentindy.com/ for more details.

  • One of my favorites, the Italian Street Festival is back at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  If you want some of the best Italian food and wine, this is the place to be.   • Baseball is alive tonight at Victory Field as our Indianapolis Indians take on the Durham Bulls, weather permitting.  Tickets available at Ticketmaster or the box office.  See more details at www.indyindians.com/.
