87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Louisiana Republican Vance McAllister has extended an invitation to Willie Robertson, son of Phil Robertson, who was briefly suspended by A&E for controversial statements he made in an issue of GQ Magazine on homosexuality and race.

Rep. Vance McAllister (R-La.) has invited “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson as his guest to the 2014 State of the Union address, the Times-Picayune reports.

“Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend,” McAllister said, according to the Times-Picayune. “I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in D.C. this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation’s capitol.”
