CeeLo Green could face four years in prison for drugging a woman who also accused him of sexual assault.
The Voice judge pleaded not guilty after he was charged Monday, Oct. 21, for giving a woman ecstasy in a Los Angeles sushi restaurant in July 2012.
The woman claims that, while eating together, CeeLo put Ecstasy in her drink and had sex with her. She says she woke up naked in bed, with Green in the room with her.
Prosecutors rejected a rape charge against the singer due to a sufficient lack of evidence; his attorney Blair Berk claimed that any sexual contact between her client and the woman was “consensual.”
Cee Lo admitted taking Ecstasy himself, but denied giving it to the woman. Cee Lo and the woman had been dating for months at the time, and had been intimate in the past.
The woman also claimed to have a tape recording of CeeLo talking about the incident.
