According to WTHR the temps are not suppose to leave the 70’s today…just perfect to get the kids out of the house and into some great activities for the weekend.  Check out some of the events listed below:

  • It’s returned, the 21st Annual Sheridan Harvest Moon Festival in Hamilton County.  Enjoy the carnival rides, pumpkin chuck, car show, food, and much more at Biddle Memorial Park going on now until Sunday at 4pm.  Admission is free so for more information contact them at www.sheridanharvestmoon.com
  • IUPUI Regatta on the Central Canal in Downtown Indy is a half mile canoe relay competition that runs from 8am-5pm from the north end of the canal with IUPUI students as the teams. Festivities have begun, so join them today.  See www.iupui.edu/~soar/regatta
  • Its Quaker Day or at least Quaker Day Festival in Plainfield.  Great food, carnival rides, games, live music and more at the Al and Jan Barker Athletic Complex in Plainfield. Visit the website at www.quakerdayfestival.weebly.com
  • The 6th Annual Youth Empowerment Walk and Community Day on MLK is today from 10a-4pm.  Walkers can check in from 10a-11am and the walk begins at 11:30am.  Let the kids have fun at Kids Zone, and there’ll also be a Health & Wellness Fair, entertainment and much more at Watkins Park.
  • The Lions Club Park will be busy today with the Clermont Festival kicking off at 11am with a parade.  Food, live music and the 63rd annual rodeo goes down at 7:30p.  For more information see the website at www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/clermontin
  • Its a “Blast from the Past” at the funfest being held at St. Rita Parish off of Andrew J Brown Ave going on today from 11am-10pm.  Enjoy the games, kids zone, adult zone, wine garden, raffle and the list continues.  See www.stritachurchindy.org
  • Want a free airplane ride?  Check out the Grace on Wings Family Aviation and Hog Roast Event from 11am-4pm today at the Indianapolis International Airport.  Free airplane rides for kids ages 8-17.  Don’t want a plane ride, well you can also have fun at the carnival, bounce house; enjoy food and more.  See www.graceonwings.org
  • The 33rd Annual Fiesta Indianapolis Festival is a one day festival celebrating Latino culture at American Legion Mall.  All the fun starts at 12noon and goes until 10pm with live music, dance, food and more.  Admission is absolutely free so go enjoy the fun.  Visit www.laplaza-indy.org
  • While downtown visit the Indianapolis Chinese Festival at Military Park which is another one day festival with Chinese food, Dragon and Lion Dance, games and more.  Admission is free and the event starts at 12n-7pm.  See www.indianapolischinesefestival.com

  • Protect Home Indy is hosting the 2nd Annual Fall Fundraiser at St. Richards Episcopal Church.  Good food, bounce house, games and many more activities are at your disposal.  The fundraiser begins at 3pm and doesn’t stop until 7pm.  See www.projecthomeindy.org
  • It must be the day for festivals because there’s another one going on at St. Luke Catholic Church called Fall Festival. Th is annual festival  is full of live music, games, childrens area and more.  See www.stluke.org for more information
  • The finale of Indy Jazz Fest goes on with a Block Party in Broad Ripple.  Eleven bands on two stages at the Jazz Kitchen and YATS at 54th & College.  Starts at 3:30p and runs until midnight. See information at www.indyjazzfest.net
